You
can reserve any items that appear on the catalogue
1. Search the catalogue for the material
you want (see ‘How Do I Search the
Catalogue?)
2. If you are not sure, click on the title
you want to select (it is in blue)
3. Click on ‘Place Hold’ or the ‘Hold’ button ![]()
4. Enter your User ID and PIN
5. Change the ‘Pickup Library’ to your local library
6. Click on ‘Hold’
7. If the reservation has been successful
you will see ‘Hold successful!’
8. You can then go back to ‘Home’ or
continue looking at other details ‘Go to Results’
Can I Request
More Than One Book at a Time?
1) Instead of using ‘Place Hold’ click on ‘Keep’
or ‘Keep Item’
2) Search for another book and click on ‘Keep’ or ‘Keep Item’
3) Repeat the process until you have
finished
4) Now click on ‘Kept Records’
5) Select the records you would like to
request
6) Enter your User ID and PIN
7) Change the pickup library
8) Click on ‘Place Holds’ at the bottom of the list
Why Should I
Login First?
If
you login before requesting any items, you don’t need to keep putting your User
ID and PIN for each hold you place.
Just
enter your Username and Password at the top of the screen and click ‘Login’
When
you have finished click ‘Logout’ (if
you are using a library computer)
How
Do I Know When The Item Is Ready?
At
the moment staff will phone you when the book is at the library.
What If No-one
Contacts Me?
If
items are on loan to other customers, it may be a while before they are
returned.
If
you don’t hear about your reservation within a month, please contact a library.
